Erin O’Donovan is senior legal counsel in the Corporate Finance Branch at the Ontario Securities Commission. Ms. O’Donovan is an expert in securities law and has led national policy projects for the Commission. She is currently leading a project to introduce a national securities crowdfunding regime and a project to modernize the delivery of key information to investors. Ms. O’Donovan also has expertise in M&A matters, having spent more than 10 years as senior legal counsel in the Office of Mergers & Acquisitions at the Ontario Securities Commission. Ms. O’Donovan is the Treasurer and a Director of the Toronto Lawyers Association. Prior to joining the Commission, she
practiced securities law in the Toronto office of an international law firm. Ms. O’Donovan received a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1994, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University in 1991 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1996.
