Cheryl Reicin is the practice leader of Torys’ Life Science Group, a cross-border group in both Canada and the U.S. Prior to joining Torys, Ms. Reicin led the 85 attorney life science group of a US law firm. She has the sole distinction of being ranked in international and national rankings as a leading lawyer in life sciences in both the US and Canada and has received numerous recognitions and awards, including, among others, LMG Life Science’s Finance & Transactional Lawyer of the Year, Best Lawyer’s in Canada – Life Science Lawyer of the Year, Canada’s Top 25 Women of Influence and Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women. 

Ms. Reicin represents the whole spectrum of life science companies throughout the world, with emphasis in U.S., Canada and Israel, from start-ups to large public companies, as well as investors and investment banks. She advises companies in private and public financings; mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures, licensing transactions and other strategic partnerships; and corporate and strategic structuring, throughout the world. She is a graduate of Barnard College, Columbia University and the Harvard Law School. 

Ms. Reicin is involved in numerous charitable endeavors, including, among others, serving as a trustee for The Hospital for Sick Children, a director of The SickKids Foundation, the chair and Founder of Genesis UJA, a member of the business advisory board of the Lauder family’s Institute for the Study of Aging, and a steering committee member of W*I*T*H (Women Innovating Together in Healthcare) and of TO Health!
