Staff Clinician, Homewood Health
Alysia Davies is a Staff Clinician at Homewood Health, the provider of the Ontario legal profession’s Member Assistance Program (MAP). She is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and counsellor. She is also a member of the Ontario Bar with 10 years of legal experience, including as a civil litigator and clerk to a chief justice. In her
counselling career, Alysia has worked in the hospital system with both inpatients and outpatients. She has
particular experience with women’s mental health, including pre- and post-partum depression, anxiety, and OCD,
as well as experience with clients in acute mental health crisis, including psychosis, mania, schizophrenia,
schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, and other mental health and personality disorder-related issues. Alysia is a counsellor with the MAP and with Homewood’s Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP), a joint
coordinator of the MAP peer volunteer program, and a mental health outreach presenter in the community. She
focuses on concerns related to anxiety, depression, and career stress and transitions.
